Video poker is a casino game based on the rules of five-card draw poker.
Having made a bet, a player presses the "Deal" button (deal) and receives cards - five cards open from a deck of 52 (or 53/54, if with Jokers). Pressing the "Hold" key or simply tapping a card in the case of touch screens holds non-tradable cards. After that, the player presses "Deal" again, and the machine changes the unfixed cards. In the event of a winning combination, indicated in the machine's upper part, the amount corresponding to the combination and the bet is credited to the player's account. The combinations correspond to standard poker combinations; the rarer the combination, the higher the payout. Below is the paytable for the so-called full-pay or 6/9 "Jacks or Better Poker" (Jacks and up).
In the event of a win, the player may be offered to take a risk to increase the winnings. You will be asked to double your winnings (Double) or collect the money (Collect). If you want to take a chance, click on "Double"; then five cards will appear on the screen, and the left one will be open. From the remaining four cards, the player must choose one. If the selected card is larger than the open card, the win is doubled; if it is less, the money is lost; if the cards are the same, it is a draw. Another option for doubling is guessing the color of the hole card. The player can double several times in a row. Some machines also offer to risk not the entire amount of the winnings but only half of it (Double-Half); some have the opportunity to quadruple the winnings; in this case, the player will need to guess the suit of the secured card.
