What is HUD?
HUD (Head-Up Display) is a tool that displays information about opponents' play styles, aggression, and luck directly at the poker table. It helps players make more informed decisions and analyze their opponents' gameplay.
How does HUD work?
HUD collects data on how opponents play on the preflop and postflop and displays information on play style, aggression, and luck. This helps players better understand opponents' behavior and adjust their strategy.
What does HUD show about an opponent's play style?
HUD analyzes preflop play style and indicates the types of hands an opponent is likely playing:
- Nit: Very tight player, plays a small percentage of hands.
- Rock: Tight-passive player, rarely raises.
- Shark: Tight-aggressive player, plays many hands aggressively.
- Auto-caller: Loose-passive player, plays many hands but rarely raises.
- Maniac: Loose-aggressive player, frequently raises and re-raises.
What does aggression mean in HUD?
Postflop aggression reflects how often a player bets and raises:
- Low aggression: Player calls more often than betting or raising (blue icon).
- Moderate aggression: Player balances between calling and raising (silver icon).
- High aggression: Player bets and raises more often than calling (orange icon).
How is a player's luck determined in HUD?
HUD determines a player's luck level by analyzing how often they win large pots in the last 10 hands:
- Lucky: A player who is getting lucky—winning big pots.
- Unlucky: A player who is unlucky—losing big pots.
How is HUD data displayed?
HUD data appears after a player has played at least 10 hands with an opponent. Hovering over the play style or luck icon will show a tooltip explaining the current data.
What statistics does HUD display?
HUD provides detailed statistics for analyzing gameplay:
- VPIP (Voluntary Put $ in Pot) — percentage of hands voluntarily entered.
- PFR (Preflop Raise) — percentage of preflop raises.
- 3bet PF — percentage of preflop 3-bets.
- Total AFq (Aggression Frequency) — postflop aggression percentage.
- Hands — number of hands played.
- Winning — player's total winnings or losses.
How does HUD help improve your game?
HUD helps analyze opponents' gameplay, allowing players to adjust their strategy. The statistics and play styles of opponents help identify strengths and weaknesses, enabling more informed decision-making.
